Estate Planning Attorney and Powers of Attorney

Advance directives include medical powers of attorney, statutory durable powers of attorney, living wills (also known as a Directive to Physicians), and choice of guardian in case of need. There are very specific requirements for each of these categories of documents so that they operate for your benefit. Having your estate planning documents effectively prepared by an estate planning attorney is a gift to your loved ones, and simplifies property transfer when you die through specific terms contained in your Will with or without a family trust. Having your estate planning documents usually also protects you from having a guardianship imposed upon you in the unfortunate circumstance that you become incapacitated. Dallas Probate Attorney

When someone dies, if that person wrote a Will, it should be evaluated to determine if it should be filed for probate. To “probate” a Will means to file it, or publish it with an appropriate Court, and ask that Court to admit the Will to probate, which gives power to the terms of the Will. If there is no Will, a Court must determine issues of heirship, meaning the Court would determine who would receive an inheritance from the person who has died. The best way to access our building is to enter from Milton and Greenville. Head west on Milton, and the Lovers Lane DART train station will be in front of you. Then turn left at the dead-end.

Continue straight past the first building on your left, (which is the Meadows Building) and in front of you will be Three Energy Square (also known as the Davaco Building) into the visitor’s parking garage on the right side of the circle drive, located on the bottom floor of 6688 North Central Expressway.

Access the Lobby through the garage elevator. Then walk to the right, around the corner to find a second elevator. We are located on the tenth floor in suite 1000.
